Tunisian Simple Stitch
Work rounds 1 – 16 according to the base pattern with colour 76.
Round 17: Change to colour 86. Sl.st. 1, ch. 6. Continue with the Tunisian simple stitch.
Insert your hook in the 2nd ch. from your hook, yarn over and draw a loop. You;ve got 2 loops on your
hook. Repeat this for the remaining ch. such that you get 6 loops in total. Insert your hook in the next
st. of round 16. Yarn over and draw a loop.
Work a return pass row. Yarn over and draw through 2 loops on your hook. Yarn over and draw
through 2 loops again. Repeat this until you have 1 loop remaining on your hook. W
Work a forward pass row again. When looking at your work you’ll see vertical bars. Skip the first
vertical bas and insert your hook behind the second vertical bar. Yarn over and draw a loop such that
you’ve got 2 loops on your hook. Repeat this for all vertical bars such that you get 6 loops on your
hook. Insert in the next sc. of round 16 and yarn over and draw a loop such that you get 7 loops on
your hook.
Repeat this until you’ve used all sc. of round 16. Cast off and sew the 2 loose ends together on the
inside.
Before you continue, you’re going to embroider onto the Tunisian crocheted part of the egg.
