Today, the new daily crochet pattern Amigurumi Santa Gnome Free Crochet Pattern, I want to give you some information about this pattern;

Materials:

  1. Yarn Alize Bella 100% cotton 180m/50 gr. gray and red
    ~30 gr.
  2. Hook No1.5
  3. Yarn “Iris” “Gamma” beige, hook No. 1 (for the nose)
  4. Textured yarn “Softy” (for the edge of mittens) -5 gr, needle
  5. Fine cotton thread in a contrasting color (for the start marker
    row)
  6. Strong threads to match the yarn (for sewing on a cap).
  7. Felting wool (combed tape) white for beard
  8. Needle for felting No38 “star” or thread for sewing.
  9. Filler
  10. Metal granulate (for the stability of the toy)
  11. A small piece of cardboard, glue
  12. Decorations for the cap (optional)
    The toy is knitted entirely. Legs and hands are tied. I beard
    felt (can be sewn or glued) from wool.
    The cap is sewn on.
    Knitting difficulty – easy
    Size ~12 cm
    Knitting must be tight! The size of the toy depends on
    yarn of your choice and may vary.

Legs (boots) (2pcs)

We knit in red
1p- 5sc in magic ring
2p- 5 inc = 10
3r- (inc, 4sc) * 2 = 12
4-6r- 12sc (3 rows)
Loosely fill the part with filler.

7p-Fold the part in half and knit 6sc for both walls = 6
Cut the thread.

Fasten the thread, hide.

Hands (2pcs)
We start knitting mittens (red color)
We knit the thumb first
1p- 5sc in magic ring
2p-5sc Cut the thread. (Later we will attach the finger to
mitten)
Connect the second in the same way.

We knit a mitten in red. The marker goes on the side of the part.

2p- inc, 2sc, inc, 1sc = 7
3r- inc, 2sc, inc, 3sc = 9
In the 4th and 5th rows we knit the thumb
4p-4sc, 1sc together with thumb, 4 sc = 9

5p-3sc, dec (grab 1sc of mittens and 1sc of thumb,
we knit the loops together – it turns out a decrease!), 2 sc in
finger, dec (1sc mittens along with 1sc thumb), 3sc = 10

6r-10sc
We attach a gray thread. We cut the red thread, fasten it.

7p-The whole row is knitted behind the back wall of the loop-10sc

In the 7th row for the left loops, fasten the white thread “Softy”.
Sew with a needle with textured yarn through the left loops of the 7th row.
Repeat in the opposite direction. Cut the thread, hide in a mitten.

8-13r- 10sc (6 rows)

14r- Fold the handle in half, knit 5sc for both walls
loops =5

We do not fill our hands with filler.

Nose

Yarn “Iris” “Gamma” beige, hook No1 Yarn for
nose knitting should be 2 times thinner than the main
yarn.

Cut the thread. Fill the nose with filler.

Body and Head

Detail knit from the bottom up. The marker goes down the middle of the back. Per
we follow the marker, align it, knitting displacement loops (PS).


Grey:
1p- 6sc in magic ring or ch 2, in the 2nd loop from the hook 6sc = 6

2p- 6inc = 12
3r- (1sc, inc) * 6 = 18
4r- 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc) * 5.1sc = 24
5p-(3sc, inc) * 6 = 30

6r- 2sc, inc, (4sc, inc) * 5, 2sc = 36
7r-(5sc, inc,) * 6 = 42

In the next row we knit the legs. We knit the whole 8 row for
back wall of the loop
8r- 13sc, 6sc together with the leg, 4sc, 6sc together with the second leg, 13sc
=42

Cut out a circle from cardboard, smaller in diameter than the base of the gnome.
Try on.

9-10r- 42sc
After 10 rows, glue the circle.

11-22r- 42sc (12 rows)
In the next row we knit handles:
23r- 7sc, 5sc together with the hand, 18sc, 5sc together with the second
hand, 7sc = 42

28-29r- 30sc (2 rows)

Add weighting agent. Stuff the body with filler.

Add filler.

Cut the thread, pull off the loops. Hide the end of the thread.

Cap

We don’t follow the marker. We knit in red.

4-5r-9sc (2 rows)
6p-(inc, 2sc) * 3.1sc = 12
7.8r-12sc (2 rows)
9p-(inc, 3sc) * 3 = 15

12p-(inc, 4sc) * 3 = 18

Beard.

Felt or sew felting wool to the body in about the 27th row.

Carefully comb the beard, lay it down. Sew on the nose.

Put on a cap, sew to the body.

Decorate the cap as you wish!
