on the top side between Rnds 3-4 approximately 4-5

stitches apart. Embroider diagonal lines across Rnds 3-4

approximately 1.5-2 sts wide.

POM POM:

There are a few different methods of making a pom-pom. For the purpose of this pattern, I

used my fingers as the anchor, but if you are familiar with a different method (such as the

fork method) you can use that as well. Using white yarn, wrap yarn around your index finger

and middle finger approximately 20 times and cut the yarn. With the yarn still wrapped on

your two fingers, slip a new strand of white yarn up between the two fingers, wrapping it

around and tying it in a secure knot. At this point, the yarn should be tied in a solid bunch

and you can slip off the yarn from your fingers. Cut through the looped ends at each side of

the bunch and spread out strands. Trim uneven strands, giving it a “round” shape. Attach

pom-pom to tip of hood.
