Important Notes
• All rounds are worked in a continuous spiral (except Elfrida’s eyelids and parts of her
clothes). Do not join or turn, unless instructed otherwise
• You may find it useful to use a stitchmarker for counting your rounds
• Take your time to create your Amigurumi’s face. It is a very important part of the
final result
• While stuffing and making the wire frame take care to give each part a nice shape
• Using invisible decrease instead of decrease makes the final result nicer
Size of finished figure
Using the above metioned yarn and hook Elfrida will be 36 cm tall

Start to create the wire frame at this point. In my case the wire for head, body, legs and feet
was approximately 120 cm long. Keep the size of the hook and the gauge of the yarn you
are using in mind. You may want to leave the wire rather a bit longer. Adjust it to the final
length, when the body’s size is evident.
Bend the wire in half and form it to fit exactly into the head. Secure it with the rubber tape.
See pictures above. Lead the two ends of the wire through the hole created in Round 7.
Start stuffing the head (stuff nicely around the wire) and keep on stuffing while crocheting.

Hair
The hair is created from red DMC Knitty 10 yarn. Cut 40 cm long pieces of the yarn.
Separate each of them into 2 strands.
Use a thinner embroidery thread to sew the tresses midway to the head in order to create
two strands of the same length. Start the work at the center line and continue
systematically step by step at the border line of the hair.
Part the hair at the midline in preparation for a Dutch braid. Braid the hair on both sides, as
you see on the pictures below.
