THINGS TO KNOW
• The height of the finished cubes is varied from 8-9 cm
• The materials mentioned above are the materials I used to make Christmas cubes. You can change your
yarn type (cotton, acrylic, etc) and colors adjusting to the crochet hook. If you use different yarn weight
with different gauge, the measurement of the doll will also change.
• All parts need to be crocheted tightly to avoid small holes or stretches.
• Each body part starts with a magic ring or an adjustable ring. Most details are worked in spiral without
slip stitch or lifting loops. In the beginning of each part, you’ll be informed whether the detail starts with magic ring or chain loop.
• I insert the safety eyes for my doll at the last step. I usually glue the stem of the eyes before inserting,
instead of using a washer or the plastic lock. This is optional based on everyone’s preferences.
• Always use a stitch marker or yarn in a contrast colour to mark the beginning of the row.
• There are a lot of color changes, alternate stitches and sewing parts, so please read the instructions
carefully before you start each round.
• In changing yarn to a new color, join the new color in the final step when you have two loops on your
hook, pull up the new color, yarn over and pull through all loops.
