Use the provided pictures of the finished Chikorita as a visual aid to help guide you in the assembly
process. Pins are recommended to aid in part placement during assembly.
- Sew the front feet and the back
feet to the bottom of the body. Using
pins can be very helpful for this step!
Experiment with leg placement so
you can find the best placement for
your Chikorita to be balanced.
Sew the tail onto the rear.
- Sew the neck buds around the
neck. See images a. through d. for
guidance. (Top-down view)
To help keep the neck buds evenly
spaced
- a. start with the front and back
- b. then place the left and right
-c. then place the buds in between.
-d. photo of final placement.

Craft Felt Eyes (Easiest Method)
Cut out the shapes seen in the photos
from red and white craft felt. Eyes
are approximately 1.5 inches tall and
1 inch wide. Glue them to the front of the face.
Use your yarn needle and black yarn
to embroider a mouth.

Needle Felt Eyes Guide
You will need a felting needle and
roving wool in Red and White.
Start by taking a long thin strip of the
white roving wool. Give it a twist to
pull in and condense the fibers a bit.
Use you felting needle to apply the
roving wool to the surface of the
amigurumi and make an outline of
the eyes. (You can use a cut out of
paper or felt to use as a template to trace.)
Then fill in the eyes completely with
white roving wool.
Outline the pupils with red roving
wool, then fill them in with the red wool.
Outline the eye highlights with white
roving wool and fill them on.
Taking a long thin strip of black
roving wool. Give it a twist to pull in
and condense the fibers a bit. Apply
the black wool to make the mouth.

Almost finished! We now need to give Chikorita the Head Leaf.
Make sure you have the stem wire
folded in half and placed inside the
leaf. Bend the stem of the leaf as seen
in the second photo.
Push the ends of the stem wire down
into the top and center of the head.
Push down until the leaf stem reaches
the head. Sew the leaf to the head.
