Materials:
− Crochet hook 3,5 mm (US size 4)
− Rainbow Cotton 8/4 – double thread or
Rainbow Cotton 8/8 – single thread
− 2 pcs. Security eyes 14 mm
− 1 set of teethers – flipper-shaped
− Toy stuffing
− 1 wooden bead 20mm
− Music box
Height: Approx. 20 cm
Usage:
Color A: Approx. 110 g.
Color B: Approx. 5-6 g.

Pattern:
Work with a double thread when using Rainbow Cotton 8/4 and a single thread when using Rainbow

Assembly beak and eyes:
- Fasten the eyes on round 16 and 17 with
approx. 12 st in between. - Now attach the beak.
- Sew the beak on to the head between the
eyes a couple of rounds below. - Like this.
- If you want to shape the face and make
notches around the eyes, work as follows:
Using color A pull the thread and needle
up through the head, - Pull the needle out on the right of the eye
and in again on the left side of the eye. - Now pull the needle and thread out on the
right side of the other eye, - And in again on the left side of the other
eye. - Pull the needle and thread down through
the head again. Now pull carefully on both
threads until the head has the shape you
want. - Tie a knot to fasten. You now have notches
around the eyes. - Use a color pencil or a little bit of ”blush”
(makeup) if you want to give Alfred red
cheeks
Body:
Proceed from where you stopped on the head and work the body.

Attach flippers:
Work 2 straps to attach the flippers using color A.

- Ch 1 to turn. 1 sc in each sc (3)
- Ch 1 to turn. 1 sc in each sc (3)
- Ch 1 to turn. 1 sc in each sc (3)
- Ch 1 to turn. 1 sc in each sc (3)
- Ch 1 to turn. 1 sc in each sc (3)
- Make 1 strap. Cut the yarn and leave long end to assembly.
- Pull the strap through the hole on the flipper and fold as shown here on the photo.
- Sew the strap together, 4. Sew the strap on to the bottom of the duck.
- Sew the strap on to the bottom of the duck.
- Repeat with the other flipper.
Wings:
Work 2 pcs using color A.
- Make a magic ring and work 6 sc in ring. (6)

Fold the wing flat and work the two sides together. Do not stuff the wing. - The wings are ready to be attached.
- Sew the wing on to the side of the body,
approx. 3 rounds from the neck. - Repeat on the other side.
Curls:
Using color A, make 3 different curls for the bang and 3 identical curls for the tail.
Curls for the bang:
- Ch 13. 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2 sc in each st on entire row. Cut the yarn and leave long end for
assembly. - Ch 11. 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2 sc in each st on entire row. Cut the yarn and leave long end for
assembly. - Ch 9. 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2 sc in each st on entire row. Cut the yarn and leave long end for
assembly.
Curls for the tail:
- Ch 9. 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 2 sc in each st on entire row. Cut the yarn and leave long end for
assembly.
Make 3 of these. - Attach the curls on top of the head. 2. And to the backside of the duck.
